  • Food Charter and Report Card – The NM Food Charter and Report Card both reflect the major factors that we understand are influencing New Mexico’s food and agriculture systems today and into the future. The NM Food Charter identifies the desired changes or impacts to be achieved through the NM Food & Agriculture Policy Council’s policy work and the measurable indicators of that change. The Report Card shows where various areas of concern and/or opportunity are currently.

Healthy Kids/Healthy Communities Resources

The Healthy Kids Healthy Communities Program is organizing a coordinated letter writing campaign to support continued funding for New Mexico Grown procurement in early childhood programs, K-12 school districts, and senior centers and the New Mexico Grown Approved Supplier Program which ensures food safety and traceability standards across all products sold in the program. There are letter templates for the following groups: nutrition (i.e., food service) professionals, food producers, community coordinators/ organizers, and parents/families. The templates can and should be modified to fit the unique needs and requests of our diverse communities throughout the state.
